Cairo Scan

Established in 1983, Cairo Radiology Centre (Cairo Scan) is the first and largest integrated radiology centre in Egypt and in the Middle East.
Multi-slice CT Scans
Radiologists regularly attend international conferences and medical exhibitions, so as to keep updated with the latest technology and diagnostic skills. Medical staff also engage in a well-established system of continuous learning.
MRI Scans
Multi-slice CT scanning offers considerable advantages over conventional single slice scanning.
CT angiography of the circle of Willis to detect aneurysms.
Cairo Scan offers the Siemens 1.5 Tesla Symphony scanner with a high signal to noise ratio and spatial resolution for all examinations.
Other scans and services
A range of image-guided pain relief services are available certain areas of chronic pain and tumour pain

Cairo Radiology Centre, Egypt
The centre is always keen to provide high quality services using the most advanced technology in the field of radiology and medical imaging and skilled personnel.
It allows the acquisition of multiple axial images with a single gantry rotation instead of a single image in each rotation like ordinary spiral CT. It also has shorter gantry rotation period, making it much faster.
As a result the whole chest, abdomen and pelvis can be covered in 15 seconds with thinner cuts and images of higher quality than those done by ordinary spiral CT. This allows the centre to make 3D reconstructions of lesions with high efficiency.
Scans performed include:
Virtual bronchoscopy and colonoscopy with higher quality.
MR diffusion and perfusion for the brain.
MRI of the heart.
The small size and convenient shape as well as short examination time allows the patient to be more comfortable during the examination, even claustrophobic patients.
Cairo Scan offers a wide range of modalities including nuclear imaging, ultrasound, X-ray, bone densitometry and mammography.  Routine mammography screening is recommended for women over 40 and available for women in high risk categories over 35.
mammography and bone densitometry
Cairo scan has established a unit for scientific research and Continuous Medical Education (CME). As part of this the centre regularly receives visits from foreign experts for training of doctors and discussion of cases.
