History
Euromedic began operations in Italy with its acquisition of Villa Salute medical centre in September of 2007. The centre is located in the city of Manerbio-Bs, Lombardy Region; Northern Italy.
Villa Salute was established in 2002 as a-state-of-the-art multi modality diagnostic facility, designed to provide its patients the highest quality radiology and imaging services supported by the best available specialist. The outpatient treatment facility covers an area of nearly 1, 500 square meters and currently supports the following Medical Services: CT, Volumetric Spiral CT, Total Body Scan, MRI, Digital X-rays, Cardiac Scan, Ecopdopler, Ultra Sounds, Mammography, Urology, Ozone therapy, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Gynecology, Physiotherapy, Cardiology, Surgery, Neurology and Eye care. This year the centre will complete over 40,000 diagnostic investigations.

In October 2007 “IRMET” (www.irmet.com) the largest PET/CT centre in Europe joined the Euromedic International Network. The company is located in the city of Torino and was established in 2003 as the first diagnostic centre of its type in the Torino metropolitan area. The centre is designed to serve ambulatory patients as a centre of excellence for diagnostic imaging investigations.
The centre, together with a team of 19 medical professionals, operates three General Electric state-of-the-art PET/CT diagnostic devices.. ”IRMET” is a very important strategic move for Euromedic, as the company sees a big future for the development of its PET/CT network in Europe. The Torino centre will serve as the best reference site for this network and will be used for training and PET/CT Teleradiology. “IRMET” is also a shareholder in Advanced Accelerator Application (AAA) - one of the largest European producer of FDG Isotopes.
In November 2007, Euromedic continued its expansion in Italy with the acquisition “Medi-Care” Diagnostic Centre in Zelo Buon Persico (Lodi), Italy (www.medi-care.it). The acquisition includes a modern multi-modality diagnostic centre and outpatient department located in the Lombardy Region of the Country.
The centre provides a wide range of diagnostic and outpatient procedures including: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Digital X-Rays, Ultrasound, Echo Doppler, Mammography, Eye Care, Cardiology, Orthopedics and Physical therapy. This year with its staff of medical professionals the centre will conduct over 30,000 diagnostic investigations.
IMC Centres in Monselice, Modena, Ferrara and Piove di Sacco were acquired by Euromedic in March 2008, as part of the “INIZIATIVA MEDICA GROUP” including the largest MRI Centre (13MRI Modalities) in Europe. The centres are located in the cities of Monselice, Modena, Ferrara and Piove di Sacco in the Veneto and Emilia Romagna regions of Northern Italy. “INIZIATIVA Medica Group” was established in 1987 and is a well recognized imaging diagnostic company having faithfully served the community for over 20 years. The centres and their team of 90 medical professionals perform more than 130,000 diagnostic investigations annually.
