Hirslanden Movement Clinic (Orthopaedics, Artificial Joints, Spine and Pain)

nerve compression, arthroses and rheumatic diseases
The Movement Clinic is concerned with all aspects of the human movement apparatus: bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Changes in these may be congenital or the result of disease or 'wear and tear', or may arise from accidental injuries.
Klinik Hirslanden offers a broad range of orthopaedic procedures. Specialists in pain therapy, neurosurgery, rheumatology,  rehabilitation, neurology and internal medicine work together to deliver the best solution to your problem.
Spinal Surgery
The spinal column is the most important central part of the skeleton, and, accordingly, diseases and deformations of the spine impair posture, limit freedom of movement, cause back pain extending into the legs and sometimes lead even to the appearance of paralysis. Spinal specialists at the Hirslanden clinics carry out the following therapies:
After treatment you can move to one of Klinik Hirslanden's selected rehabilitation clinics throughout Switzerland, where they will monitor your recovery closely to ensure long term success.

Modern Surgical Navigation Systems
Ultramodern navigation systems are used in orthopaedic surgery. These assist the surgeon from the planning to the operation, with precise three-dimensional bone models, e.g. during the implantation of hip and knee total endoprotheses. These new navigation systems enable the surgeons to place implants more precisely, with improved outcome for the patient.
