Hospital Alemão (German Hospital) Oswaldo Cruz
The Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz was founded in 1897 by a group of German speaking immigrants headed by Mr Anton Zerrener, a businessman and honorary German Consul. The intention was to provide services to members of the German colony as well as to the population in general, as repayment for the kindness they had received since arriving in Brazil.
